Working towards creating an inclusive, discrimination-free society through the appropriate use of information and communication technology, a2i operates under the Cabinet Division and the ICT Division, with support from UNDP Bangladesh—to ensure fast, transparent, harassment-free, and easily accessible services for the people. a2i assists in a citizen-centric transformation by improving the efficiency of government service delivery and building an innovation-friendly culture, where services are more inclusive, affordable, reliable, and accessible. The core objective of all these activities is to provide high-quality and satisfactory services by reducing time, cost, and visits for service recipients, and at the same time, reducing the digital divide.
Embracing the motto "Leaving no one behind", a2i has gradually expanded its activities and priority sectors. In 2020, the project was renamed from "Access to Information" to "Aspire to Innovate".
